Georgia is a small country at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. It borders Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Russia. Its capital is Tbilisi, founded in the 5th century.

The country covers 69,700 square kilometres and has 3,720,000 inhabitants. Amazingly, this small area holds 26,060 rivers and more than 40 protected areas, which is why most of the country is pristine, untouched nature.

Georgia’s astonishing nature and variety have inspired many writers and poets. Here is everything a traveller could dream of: mountains with eternal snow, alpine lakes and meadows, river valleys full of flowers and fruit, palm-lined coasts, natural canyons, ancient caves, mineral springs and sulphur baths. Beyond its incredible nature, Georgia is considered one of the most hospitable countries in the world, with genuine people and wonderful food, and as the birthplace of wine it has some of the best wines in the world. It truly is a paradise on earth!

Georgia has several climate zones, which makes it a year-round destination: subtropical and mild zones alternate. Summers are sunny, with temperatures between 29 °C and 33 °C, and winters range from -2 °C to 4 °C. Wherever you come from and whatever kind of holiday you like, this country will satisfy every wish and whim!
